The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust maximised the opportunity of a S-OPAT pathway¹²

In 2014, the Trust received funding for an OPAT pilot, which focused on early discharge of patients
requiring IV antibiotics by providing training in self-administration as a default option for
suitable patients.
